Aged in a Jim Beam Barrel for 3 years. This high gravity holiday triple bock is finished with a 2nd pitching of ale yeast and nearly 1.5 pounds of raspberries per gallon. Crisp lager notes blended with big raspberry, bourbon and vanilla flavors and aromas.

Tasted on tap at the Bistro Barrel Aged Beer Festival on 11/15/2008. This ASA pours a medium reddish brown color. Small sized head. The aroma is raspberries and wood. A medium bodied ASA. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are earthy. Lots of semi-sweet raspberry, bourbon and oak flavors. Hints of chocolate as well. Very smooth tasting. Nice winter beer. Mouthfeel is full. The finish is clean and smooth and seems to last forever. The aftertaste is slightly sweet.
