The recipe for this malty, caramel holiday beer was passed down to the brewer by Old Man Gower. According to the brewer, "It was Christmas Eve in the drunk tank. An old man said to me, ’Won’t see another one’. And then we sang a song, The Rare Old Mountain Dew. I turned my head away, and he told me about this brew."

Ruby amber pour. Full flavored. Medium bodied winter warmer. Caramel is the main player, but the hops are floral and quite pleasant. Roasted malts and slight bitterness give this beer great balance.
