This delicious creation was truly a product of creativity, ingenuity, and luck. Last summer, we took a test batch of our Berliner Weisse style summer ale, Provincial, that didn’t quite hit gravity, and decided to have some fun with it! We added a heavy dose of raspberries in this sessionable, refreshingly tart beer. The end result was so delicious, we decided to recreate it! This delightfully tart fruit beer is stimulating and refreshing, with a citrusy raspberry aroma which transitions to a subtly sweet and tart finish.

    Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 7

Pours reddish apricot with a thin eggshell head. Fresh malt aroma has a definite note of raspberry and hints of other fruit. Raspberry is the Prima Donna of the flavor, but it gladly shares the stage with malty and other fruit notes plus a snip of hops. Mouthfeel presents thin body but good fizz. Get funky with raspberries!

750 ml bottle, bottled on 2014.01.27. Pours hazy pinkish red with a medium creamy light pink head that foes to a thin film and laces the glass some.

The aroma is strong tart raspberries.

The flavor is watery tart raspberries. The mouthfeel is medium bodied and watery.

    Overall, OK watery tart raspberries.
