This light-hued beer was inspired by Belgian Tripels and Golden Strong ales. A high percentage of Pilsner malt and a new yeast strain we used present a lemon character in the aroma. This citrus quality carries into the flavor and finishes with a slight tartness. This beer is well balanced and smooth, making it easy to drink and sightly deceptive because of its high ABV.

Pours slightly hazy solar yellow with thick and fluffy eggshell head. Aroma has firm fruity, floral, and subtle malty notes. Satisfying flavor has banana, pear, malt, and yeast notes plus a hint of butterscotch. Mouthfeel is a little edgy and has decent body. Get funky!

I think this is a first for me, don't recall having a funkwerks beer before. A very golden triple, quite expected with the normal fizzy head. Lots of Belgian notes in the nose followed by a touch of booze that you smell but can't really taste. It's lacking a bit on bitterness and body that could have made it a bit better but still, a decent Belgian flavor. Thanks to slowrunner for helping me cross another beermaker off the list.

750 ml bottle. Pours a hazy straw amber with a big creamy white head that retains well and laces the glass.
The aroma is sweet malts and banana with straw and yeast.
The flavor is sweet soapy belgian malts and banana with some earthy yeast and a dry, almost plasticky, finish. There's a bit of warming alcohol. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with a lot of spritzy carbonation.
Overall, an OK Belgian with some off-notes. -

This beer hides the abv very very well, almost to a fault. It's got all the requisite parts for a good triple/golden...fruity, spicy zesty yeast character, dry finish. But everything is sooooooo mellow it's too easy drinking to be among the better beers in the style. Surprisingly boring, but still on the pleasant side of things.
