I was so stoked to be able to try this crazy brew. Upon opening, a nice roasted malt scent wafted thru the nose. It very velvety in the mouth, very smooth. There were hints of choclate and there was a nice sweet finish. The strong alcohol flavor from ost barleywine styles was not as present which made this an ideal brew for the holidays. You could definitely tell that this was an English style and not as hoppy as most American barleywine styles. I will be picking up more of this fantastic brew. Hats off to Flying Dog.
