Tasted on tap at the Bistro Barrel Aged Beer Festival on 11/15/2008. This ASA pours a medium brown color from the tap. Small sized head. The aroma is fruity, chocolate with a hint of bourbon and wood. A medium bodied ASA. The malts are chocolate and fruity. Touch of oak and some bourbon sweetness. The hops are earthy and a touch grapefruity. Nice balance. Kind of a weird blend of beer styles, and I am not totally sure it works, but it tastes good. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.
