From beer novice to beer geek, everyone loves this beer! This is what Scottish ale is supposed to taste like. The Scottish traditionally do not use a lot of hops in their beers. This is a carmel/malty beer with a slightly nutty roasty component. Amber in color.

its a good go-to beer when i want something a little more ample. Nice to have in the fridge and nice to have out of the can. Not too heavy i like the balance here. its refreshing, its malt forward. Caramel comes to mind. A little bit milk chocolatey, a little bit toasty biscuity. notes of Hazelnut but maybe thats a stretch

Don't agree with the low scores. I tend to gravitate more towards the wee heavy strength scotch ales. While I like the lower abv ones, they're just not as good 9 times out of 10. While i can't speak to Fearless' Wee Heavy, i can say this was a solid and quite enjoyable brew that was better significantly than their IIPA. Caramel, toffee, light peat and slightly fruity. Smooth and drinkable, yet complex and pretty tasty.

I had this at the Green Dragon in Portland last night. I've had their strong scottish ale before and this one wasn't as good. Clear reddish bronze color with ok head and good lacing. Aroma of caramel and lightly roasted malt. Light-medium body with a smooth texture. Mostly sweet with some caramel and cookie dough without much depth to it. Maybe slightly hoppier than the usual Scottish Ale. Eh, no need to try this one again.

Copper color. Aroma is malty and caramel. A medium bodied Scottish ale. Malts are caramel, fruity and sweet. Hops are slightly bitter. Fruity and sweet. A lighter bodied and tasting Scottish ale. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.
