pretty dark pour...nice mahogony color, but also pretty flat. a smooth sipper. definitely on the sweet side...molasses, tobacco, dark fruits. definitely liked it and it could stand up to some of the big boys with some carbonation.

12 oz bottle. Pours a murky dark tea color with a thin off white head that quickly goes to a thin film that leaves a little lacing.

The aroma is sweet molasses, cola and dark fruits with a little alcohol and green hops.

The flavor is sweet cola and caramel malts with dark fruits and a bitter hoppy alcohol finish. The mouthfeel is medium to a little thin and slightly watery (but not as bad as their other beers).

Overall, a very fine barley wine that is on the sweet side but well balanced. This is easily EP's best brew.
