Einhorn Spezial Pilsner is a North German style, where pilsners are tradionally more bitter than in the rest of the country. It is a full-bodied, golden-colored craft beer and has 5% ABV. It contains high-quality aroma hops from the Tettnang region in Germany, a small town near Lake Constance on the Austrian border. The fruity Perle hops are from the Hallertau region, one of the finest hop growing regions in the world.

Sampled on 12/12/2009. This pilsner pours a medium orange gold color from a 12oz bottle. Large, huge, sized white foamy head with decent retention. The aroma is cereal, wheat, malt and crisp, slightly spicy. A medium bodied Pilsner. The hops are floral and spicy. Nice balance. Decent carbonation. A little smooth tasting for a pilsner, they usually have that crisp bite. Nice beer. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.
