This Barleywine is dedicated to my 4 legged goddess, Pepper. In December 2014, my (now) fiancé and I were at Greenville Animal care when we stumbled upon this majestic little kitten. Friendly, yet timid, and always okay with more pets, we decided to take Pepper home with us. Since then Pepper has become the Queen of our house, and permanent lap fixture that is still in need of more attention and pets. Her sharp chirps like a little bird, and piercing eyes remind me of the Owl I never had. Im super grateful to have such a sweet and mellow cat, and figured that her complex nature be represented by something equally complex and beautiful. Love you little Pepper, can't wait to snuggle with you when I get home this afternoon. Port Finished Brandy Barrel Aged Barleywine aged 1 year and 5 months then transferred into a Buffalo Trace Barrel for 6 more months. The Double Barrel Aged Barleywine was then blended with a Laird's 6year Apple Brandy Barrel Barleywine, that was aged for 1 year and 7 months before blending. After blending, we finished this Barleywine off with the most excellent Peruvian Pompona Vanilla Beans. 60% Apple Brandy Barrel 40% Double Barrel Barleywine Blend
