The only exception in our range of beers is the Rédor, a bottom fermentation “pils” beer, filtrated but not pasteurised. Indeed, although we are specialised in the production of top fermentation beers with refermentation in the bottle, the brewery has chosen to keep the production of a “pils” beer. The Rédor is a pure malt “pils”, which means we only use the barley malt as starch. We do not add grains, so the Rédor becomes a tasteful “pils” with a real bitterness.

Poured up on tap at Nuet nigenough where it exhibits a clear gold body that supports a thin white head. The aroma offers up bready corn like notes along with light fruity esters and a light spicy hoppiness. The taste is crisp and easily quaffable. I get smooth sweet thin corn and bread notes that are quickly cut by the carbonation enhanced yeasty fruity esters and modest bitter hoppiness. Darn nice refreshing brew.

Bottle (from thebelgianbeershop.com). Yellowish golden colour with creamy white head that leaves some lace. Aroma is grassy hops with some slight earthy notes as well as quite sweet maltyness. Flavour is quite sweet malts along with some grass and saltwater. A pleasant pils.
