Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 9 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8

Rated Aug. 2008. Poured up in a squat tulip glass with a clear deep gold body and impressive near bright white head of foam. It was served a little too cold. The aroma seems to be honey, pilsner malts, candi sugar, a hint of pepper, banana, bubble gum and light colored fruity esters. It has a thick and rich flavor with notes coming in from all directions all at once. I get notes of Belgian candi sugar, sweet thick honey infused syrup, bold and brash notes of prunes and raisins being mixed with banana and a mild background of bubble gum. Could improve with age to attain a more blended smooth sensation. Very nice now though and I get no sense of the big 10.7% ABV.
