The black beauty watches over two great ones. Josh Theodore Logan & Brian S. Preston, Esquire, who super-soured some excellent Imperial Stout and ESB beers and blended them together.

Tasted at the 5th Annual Bistro Barrel Aged Beer Fest on 11/13/2010. This Imperial Stout pours a dark black color from the tap. Small sized white foamy head. The aroma is chocolate, coffee, tart, funky and sour. A medium bodied Imperial Stout/American Strong Ale. The malts are chocolate, coffee, funky and sour. Did I mention this beer was sour and funky? I mean you might think that beer you had last week was sour and tart, but this beer is sour and tart. There is some of the imperial stout in the background, but lots of tartness and sourness. Excellent beer, not bogus at all. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is tart and sour.
