Tasted on tap at the 2007 Bistro West Coast Barrel Aged Beer Festival. This Imperial Stout poured a deep black color. Small sized tan foamy head. Aroma is chocolate, coffee and a touch of blueberries. A medium bodied Imperial Stout. Malts are chocolate and coffee. The hops are earthy. The blueberry flavor is a touch subdued; it hides behind the chocolate and roasty malts but adds a nice sweetness to this beer. Touch of port and oak as well. There is a touch of tartness/sourness here as well. Nice balance. Interesting beery. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.
