Resurrected by Strange Roots. Like a Brit with a cockney accent, this wild ale is both inspired by English ciders and true to its roots in Belgian farmhouse funk. Secondary fermentation with Brettanomyces, white wine yeast, elderflowers & the namesake fruits results in a tasty bouquet of dry, tart and floral notes. No porky.

Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7
Pours opaque apricot with a thick but ephemeral ivory head. Aroma yields nose-twisting tart fruit, what must be elderflower, and crisp malt. Flavor features tart and sour pomme fruit that will make your face do calisthenics, plus elderflower (I presume), earthy and malty tones. Texture provides decent body and peppy fizz. Looks to me as though Draai Laag got bought out by Strange Roots & Experimental Ales - more power to the latter.
