Pours a brown/mahogany color with almost no head despite an aggressive pour. Boozy smell with bourbon and sweet roasted malt aromas. Bourbon, roast malt, raisins and dates on the tongue. Very balanced flavors. Mouthfeel is slick and coats the palate. An interesting beer. I like barrel aged beers and this one is worth a try if that's your thing. Not great but still a very good beer.
