This is Slow As Molasses and it is an Old Ale brewed with Florida Molasses and English hops. This is the first of two collaborations between Swamp head & Cigar City.

22oz bomber pours with a clear amber body that has deep copper hues and supports a full tan head of foam. The aroma offers up sweet malts, some molasses, cherry and raisin like fruity esters and then some boozy malt sweetness at the end of the draw. The taste delivers plenty of malt sweetened cherry, raisin and plum dark fruity esters. Around the edges are somewhat thin yet nectar sweet molasses as well as a sense of brown sugar. Decent sipper. I would have preferred a bit richer and complex and lightly earthly experience to ratchet this up to some of the best examples of the style.
