Thanks to markwise for shipping me this 75cl bottle so that I can share it with 77ships, sebletitje and adamjackson and also with some of the Delirium Hoppy Loft staff (the day after Cigar City head brewer Wayne was here and luckily didn’t have a Leon with him to share as well). The 75cl bottle pours murky amber with a tan head of foam. The aroma offers up rich notes of brown sugar coated prunes and ripe red apples as well as caramel sweetness mixing with booze and Brandy. The taste is rich and deep with brown sugar notes, a pleasing kettle like caramelization, prunes and sweet earthy dates. It then moves into smooth sweet boozy Brandy notes and some barrel character. The whole beer comes together to attain an amazing Barrel Aged English style Barleywine experience. Another terrific sipper for sure. Love it.

Pours nearly opaque brown with light tan head. Roast malt aroma has sweet caramel and earthy notes. Flavor is on the sweet side, caramel and malty and earthy notes. Texture has average viscosity and fizz.
