Rated in Jan. 2011. On Firkin tap at Brandon Mellow Mushroom pouring ruby hued mahogany with tiny weak tan head. It has a pretty full cedar wood aroma with hints of the sweet, spicy rye and citrus down below coming from the base beer. The taste is full up cedar that covers over most of the tasty base beer notes such as various citrus, some spicy rye, dashes of roasted malts, faint resiny hops and just detectable malt like sweetness. The robust cedar notes linger long into the after taste. If you enjoy wood/cedar forward brews then this is for you.
