The Humidor Series is a rotating offering of Cigar City Brewing beer aged on cedar. Cedar has a more subtle effect on beer than more traditional woods like oak. But, we think that once you taste it you’ll agree that cedar deserves a place alongside oak in the brewer’s wood-aging toolbox.

Rated Nov. 2009. Growler pour courtesy of TampaBrew. Pours deep amber with tan head. The aroma is full with sweet nuttiness, a touch of chocolate and building notes of a cedar like twang. The taste begins with the classic Bolita creamy near velvety mouthfeel ushering in nutty and roasty malts. Like the nose the cedar joins in midway to go along with fading nuttiness and persistent roasty malts. Yum. The modest cedar notes really add to the experience.
