Hard Sauce is a rich, sweet bourbon barrel-aged ale that contains alcohol and tastes remarkably like pecan pie. 750mL bottle pours with an amber body that supports a thin tan head. The aroma offers up molasses, sweet malts, some brown sugar stewed plums, oak, a dash of earthy chocolate and then a mild bourbon booze note. The taste is similar with molasses, thick sweet malts, smooth soft sweet bourbon and then a spicy wood note. Another sip and chocolate and boozy brown sugar nuanced plums bubble to the surface. Solid sipper.
