Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 7
Rated in 2010. Growler shared with the coolest of crews, Boise. Thanks Eric and Jeremy! It pours copper with a bit of haze and off white head. The aroma is modest and has tropical fruity notes that dominate with meeker notes of sugary malts, some graininess, a bit of sweet corn and grapefruit. The taste is bold with tropical fruitiness and then getting spicy, citrusy and slightly pine hop like punctuating the palate. It ends sweet with grains and corn and ever persistent tangerine like tropical fruitiness. I thought the fruitiness sort of swamped out the yummy base beer underneath.
