Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 9 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 9
Sampled out of a 5L mini-keg, reviewed from the first pour. Shared this with 2 friends at a cookout, both of which enjoyed it as much as I did. Pours a very slightly hazy golden yellow with very low carbonation and a very thin layer of head. Aroma is sweet, biscuity, banana, coriander light clove, and peppery spice. Flavor brings sweet banana immediately, followed by some coriander, pepper, and lemon grass. Slight hints of spicy hops and bitterness in the finish, but die down quickly. A nicely constructed tripel, great stuff. We had no problem finishing off this mini-keg, despite the 9% abv.
