Originally brewed to celebrate the brewery’s 10th anniversary in 1990. The strength at 1080 og or 8% abv records our foundation in 1980. The style of the beer is very unusual - perhaps unique in being like a very sturdy India Pale Ale , but with ‘hop wine’ overtones. The polished chestnut colour is generated solely by the strength as the beer’s foundation is based on premium quality pale ale malt. This matched by a generous measure of choice, full leaf-hops to counterbalance in the copper.

Deep golden colour, small head. Aroma is alcohol, wood and a lot of malts. Also some slight vinegary notes. Flavour is malts, raisins, dark fruits, alcohol and some hints of bittering hops and wood.
