Named after the young hoodlums who create ruckus throughout the British Isles, a hooligan perpetuates rowdy behavior and can be either a cheeky punk or a violent bloke. A five hour boil promoted kettle carmelization and heavy melanoidin development produced from the Maillard Reaction. The aroma conceals notes of toffee, butterscotch, rum-raisin, werthers original and fresh-cut maple wood. The taste is a malt bomb that explodes flavors of peanut brittle, light molasses, hazelnuts, puff candy and Rolos. Leave your can of spray paint at home because after two or three pints, this beer will have you acting like a hooligan. Slainte!

Comes out of the tap an opaque mahogany with a very thin tan head, but the latter is apparently an artifact of the pour. These folks like for you to have plenty beer! Rich aroma fills the nose with notes of hard candy, horehound and caramel with hints of toffee, malt and butterscotch. Flavor is a carnival of tastes: caramel, horehound, toffee, wood, malt, and just a whisper of apple. Texture is firm-bodied and quite fizzy, dancing all the way down to the tummy. A real hooligan among beers - hunt for it!
