This live barrel of NW style sour red ale was initially aged for six months in French oak wine barrels, then additionally aged on elderberries. Sharp wine, dark raisins, red grapes and cereal notes greet you on the nose. Tart dark fruit and grapes on the palate lead to a sparkling crisp dry finish with hints of fresh elderberries and grape skins.

On tap @ Cascade Barrel House. Light burgundy pour, tight head, little lacing, very carbonated. Big elderberry and other berry flavors and aroma, grape skins and near ripe grape flavors, some wine qualities, then funky and tart as a good sour should be. Another great Sour from Cascade.

Dark purple pour. Aroma of berries and grapes. Acidic feel. Bitter sweet grape skin, berries, moderate level of sourness. Would be quite good on its own, about average for these guys.
