This ale has a deep mahogany hue that foretells of its rich roasted malt flavor. Imported English hops are added late in the brewing, to balance and augment the big malt profile.

Had this on draft at the Raccoon Lodge a week ago. Nice cranberry color with great white head and thick lacing. That was the best part of the beer. Not much of an aroma. Slightly malty. Very creamy texture and light medium body. Has a mild malt bread start and turns hoppy like an Enligh Pale Ale. Again, like another beer I had there, it had a strange bitter aftertaste that didn't seem right and prevented me from enjoying it.
