A traditional Belgian-style brew. Notable spicy and fruity aromas are rather forward. Brewing ours with wheat and a bit of light caramel malt rounds out the dry, boozy finish. Boldly Belgium, our house yeast provides most of the character in this beer. The rest of the recipe is rather understood to let our yeast shine through. Sourced from Scourmont Abby where Chimay Trappist beers are brewed, this yeast is distinctly fruity and spicy (notably banana). Aromas of stone-fruit and banana, with prickly background notes of clove and pepper define this charismatic brew.
