Aroma: 10 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 10 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 9
Comes out of the growler an opaque chocolate brown with a thick and rather persistent light buff head that leaves some good lacing. Strong aroma has a core of brandy-infused oak plus notes of pear, banana, caramel and horehound. Flavor is fruity, woody - HOLY GUACAMOLE, ALCOHOL BITE LIKE A P---ED OFF ROTTWEILER - with subtle caramel and earthy notes. Texture is firm and smooth, yet quite fizzy and edgy, and leaves a woody, fruity, bourbon finish.
