at $19, i just didn't have the funds, but a sample at a tasting, thank you .. . pours a deep tan .. medium foam .. . great tarness/funkiness .. . some wood and sweet wild leather .. . very nice stuff but a whole bottle would have been way to much .. . . "If you don't have anything nice to say don't say it at all" Mimes must be the most hateful people on earth then.

Ho-lee-crap. Did NOT expect this! A wonderful; marriage of tart funky fruit and bourbon. Carbonation high, but just right for the style. Dances on your tongue. Dark and light fruit, wine-like sourness, and some vanilla bourbon sweetness and a hint of pepper. What a delicious brew. Didn't know Boulevard could do wild like this.

Kinda hard for me to rate this being that i am not a big fan of sour beers. Well the aroma features tart green apple, very faint hints of dark fruit, bread, earthy, basement aromas. The body is a deep, deep murky brown with a thin cap that leaves very little lace. Flavor is pretty similar to the aroma, lots of sourness, some fruit, and funky bread, with a dry oak finish. Overall for a sour it went down easily, didnt get much out of the barrel aging, and the sourness made it hard to pick out the more subtle flavors. Overall this beer is better than the sum of its parts and i would drink it again. If you dig sour this is probably right up your alley.
