Another reason to practice for Saint Patrick's Day. For those that are interested, traditional Irish red ales' color came from the same roasted barley that was used to brew stouts. Using a smaller quantity of this dark malt produces the red color. A larger amount would produce the black color associated with Ireland's stouts Facts: O.G. 1052, I.B.U. 30
