Pours a gorgeous brown color with a red hues and a small tan head. Leaves some impressive lacing. Dark fruit (dates and prunes) and sweet malt/caramel aromas with boozy overtones. Tastes as it smells with the dark fruit and caramel malt leading the way. A slight alcohol presence on the finish but not as pronounced as on the smell. Tasty, but a bit unrefined. I know that this bottle probably has about 8 months on it, but I think it could use a bit more time. A bit pricey, but I like to support the smaller local brewers.
