Embargo is an elegant, barrel-aged Imperial Brown Ale, based on a high gravity version of our popular Shakedown Brown. Embargo is aged in used whiskey barrels with cocoa nibs and vanilla beans to create and amazingly well layered taste sensation. Hops: Cascade, Columbus Malt: Pale, Munich, Brown, Chocolate

Whiskey imperial brown...pretty barrel prevalant, but that's not always a bad thing. Hops still come through a little, and the feel is fizzy but smooth. A little heat. The cocoa and vanilla are well in the background. Nice brew.
