It pours deep, coppery amber; almost like an autumnal maple leaf. The nose is fairly mild with sweet, biscuit-like and malty aromas. Those flavours continue through the first sip and mid-tastes as well. You’ll notice some caramel/toffee notes too, and an earthy hop presence on the finish. It’s a light-bodied, easy-drinking beer: perfect for a summer barbeque, patio session, or as a refresher after time in the sun.

I guess this is now known as Canadian Frontier. Pours a darker amber colour (going on copper) with a frothy-bubbly beige head, decent retention and some creamy-foamy lacing. Cereal grain nose with biscuit malts and a touch of sweetness from the caramel malt base. Hints of hay was well, just like in the taste. Well-balanced between the cereal notes, caramel sweetness and mild grassy hops. Thick, but silky mouthfeel. Grows on you, so not a bad Canadian Bitter.

The beer pours a translucent dark cherry red colour with a generous off-white cap which lingers a few minutes before receding a a thin lacing. The aroma is weak roasted malt, weak caramel, some noble hops, and weak yeast tones. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is roasted malt, nutty malt, and a weak bitter hop note. Quite good for a Black Creek beer.
