Enjoyed at the 4de Gents Bierfestival, 2013. The 33cl bottle pours with a mahogany colored body that supports a tan head of foam. The aroma offers up dark roasted malts, dark roasted coffee and a sweet yet roasty chocolate brownie note. The taste is smooth and gets into burnt chocolate brownie, sweet molasses and a modest cherry dark fruity ester note to midway. It picks up thin ribbons of dark roasted malts and dark roasted coffee that adds to the charred chocolate brownie note and modest molasses sweetness. Neat stuff.

Bottle at home, somewhat past best before, ah well... Black beer, small head. Aroma is chocolate, malt, roasted. Taste is the same, somewhat sweet with chocolate bitterness.
