What do you get when you age an Imperial Stout for 6 months in an old, rye-whiskey, oak barrel? We call it Black Rye. Served cask style, we're sure you'll enjoy its robust, roasty heartiness courted by a vanilla-like whiskey undertone that's sure to put hair on your paws! Cheers!

Tasted on tap at the 1st Annual Barrel Aged Festival. This stout pours an deep brown color. Small sized beige foamy head. Aroma is rye and bourbon, some chocolate and coffee. A lighter bodied stout. Malts are bready and there is some chocolate and coffee in the background. Touch of rye spiciness. Nice balance. Has a nice residual, sweetness. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is crisp and dry. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.
