Hopping Hare springs back into action in February as part of our Seasonal Cask Ale programme. Light and crisp with a wonderful hoppy aroma and bite, it is an ale that is 'bound to satisfy'. Brewed in Spring 2006 and trialled at the Great British Beer Festival, Hopping Hare (4.5% ABV) was a great hit, selling out on everyday of the event! Following this success and taking on comments and feedback from customers we have now added Hopping Hare to our annual programme. Available on draught in all good Hall & Woodhouse establishments for a limited time from February to April. To give the Hare its distinctive and characteristic hoppy aroma and taste our talented team of brewers use Super Styrian hops (added twice to the Copper) and Styrian Goldings Dry Hop added to cask for extra aroma.

500 ml clear bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 4.4%. Bittering hop is First Gold, aroma hops are Goldings and Cascade. Clear deep golden colour, moderate white head. Aroma of lightstruck and grassy hops, some dusty notes too, a hint of toffee. The flavour is fairly refreshing and tolerably well hopped, on a buttery background with a hint of toffee again. Medium bitter aftertaste.

Pours clear golden, not much head. Aroma is a bit skunky - come soft being in a clear bottle. Flavor is malty, not anything else. Mouthfeel has weak body and fizz. Maybe it’s better on tap or something.

Clear light orange, darker yellow with pure white foam head, lacing to glass. Aroma is quite unique, hoppy, some yeast. Taste is also unique, bitter but in a different way, have to get used to this beer. Dry aftertaste. (Moscow 201302)
