Next up in the barrel aged series from Avery is Rufus Corvus. No. 19. An artful and massively acidic blend of two major projects and further enhanced with several orphan barrels from the corners of our barrel aging cellar. All ale involved was barrel aged for a minimum of 8 months and a maximum of 24 months.

Mostly red wine barreled (cab & zin) but also 9% in Chardonnay, an interesting twist. Also has all 4 of the major bugs, so pretty sour and acidic - in a good way. Murjy brown with ample carbonation. Nose, feel and flavor really pop. Pretty complex stuff...barnyard goodness with lemony tartness, oak, acid, leather & tobacco. A lot going on.
