“Asahi Honnama brewed from quality ingredients by using our pure cultured yeast and our advanced brewing techniques”. From the context of the write-up on the back of the can, I’m guessing that this is supposed to be yet another "Happoshu"-type of beer (i.e. reduced malt, for tax purposes).
After my very first sniff, and very first sip, I immediately understand the Aqua Blue reference. Tastes like chlorinated pool water. No malt body what-so-ever. No bitterness. Nasty aftertaste. Wretchedly dry and gritty. Gah, throw this crappy beer down the drain, please.
