In collaboration with Metallica, this beer represents the cataclysmic collision of two uncompromising supernatural forces. It's a crisp and refreshing Pilsner that, much like the band, transcends genres, shatters preconceptions and challenges convention. It's on. It's time to get started. To crank things up. To get loud. That thumping you feel in your chest isn't your imagination. It's your heart. It's life. It's the rockin' tunes. It's your inspiration wanting to break out. It ain't gonna sit there waiting, so motherfucking grab it. This is a collaboration in the truest sense between two entities that were born on the fringes. We've navigated life from a different perspective. We imagined things differently from what they were, and set about using our art to change the world according to our vision. We started being misunderstood by many, and loved by few. Today that's the same...but that 'few' has become 'more'. A LOT more. That's you, my friend, and we're stoked you're with us on this journey. The day is winding down. It's time to get started. No more waiting. It's time to get LOUD. It's time to Enter Night.

Pint can pours with a clear pure gold body that supports a thin white head of foam. The aroma offers up a sliver of cracker malts and then growing spicy to earthy to faintly citrus hoppiness. The taste delivers a pleasing load of classic hops that are full of both hop flavor and bitterness. I get spicy to vaguely citrus to herbal hoppiness. Into the finish a murmur of cracker malts and sweeter pilsner malts and a sense of lager yeast are just noticeable amidst the thicket of hoppiness. Solid classical hopped hop forward interpretation of the style.

I thought the can was crappy for trying to imitate Metallica the first few times I saw it in the beer store, but this time I picked it up and found out it's made in collaboration with Metallica! So I thought I'd give it a try. The beer is hazy for a pilsener. Medium body. Sharp, zesty hop with pine and hay. A hair fruity and decently malty. Not a bad beer for something I had no intentions of liking!

Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 7
Pours clear straw yellow with a thick and fairly persistent porcelain head. Aroma provides crisp, raw malt with fresh-cut pine and hay and a hint of apple on the side. Flavor delivers zesty malt, piney hops, fresh hay, a tangy and slightly sweet apple undertone. Texture offers decent fizz and body. Enter Night! I used to know a rabid Metallica fan, who got me interested in the band.
