22 oz bottle. Pours brown with a smallish off-white head that quickly goes to a thin collar that leaves a little lacing.
The aroma is chocolate and caramel malts, sweet molasses, nuts, leather and some smoky peat.
The flavor is lots of sweet sugary molasses with chocolate nutty maltiness. It has a smoky bitter finish with some alcohol. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with low carbonation but still fairly creamy.
Overall, a nice beer. I like the way the sweetness plays with the smokiness. It's still a bit too sweet for my taste.
