Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 9 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 8
500 ml capped bottle, bought at the brewery. Poured in the original Alvinne stemmed tulip glass a high gushing and opaque apricot-amber coloured Bitter with a generous three fingers beige and soapy foamy head that had a very long retention and tons of bubbles, some micro and some bigger one. Low carbonation. Many floating sediments. No lacing. The aroma is yeast, sourish fruits, apples, intense wood, musty, barnyard and wet leather. The flavour is intense and amazing bitter, grainy malts, bready tones, yeast, acidic fruits, sourish apples, lemon, grapefruits. The mouthfeel is thin, dry and smooth. The texture is watery. This light bodied Bitter has a lingering bitter finish. With only a 3.8 % ABV, proves this Alvinne Freaky to be a quite complex Bitter. A nice and well flavoured surprise from Flandria.
