Our newest release, Bourbon Barrel Pêche, took inspiration from an Almanac classic: Brandy Barrel Pêche. This year’s version swapped brandy barrels for Breckingridge and Four Roses bourbon barrels. We loaded our mixed fermentation farmhouse ale with three pounds per gallon of Blossom Bluff Orchard’s White Snow and Fay Elberta peaches. The macerated yellow and white peaches were aged in used bourbon barrels with our house sour culture until the beer was laced with notes of sweet vanilla and rich bourbon on the finish. Pair with glazed pork chops, fried chicken and Grandma’s peach pie.
