Papier Doré is one of two beers (the other being Porte Noir) specially mixed by our brewmaster and the Beer Advocate team for the Return of the Belgian Beer Fest. The age of the beers in this blend vary from six months to five years old and come from small barrels, foudres, and stainless vessels. The tangerine-hued Papier Doré greets the taste buds with full-bodied tartness and flavors like eucalyptus, stone fruit, and strawberry. In the nose of this vibrant beer, herbal aromas of mint and dill mix with notes of oak and vanilla. Both Brettanomyces and Lactic acid are used during fermentation.
