Bottle 407/447 ’07 thanks to ygtbsm94: Poured a deep black with light red haze tint to the edge, the head was thin brown. Aroma was thick boozy aged fruit and malts that stuck to the nose, also chocolate and coffee notes. Taste seemed slightly mellow with nice chocolate cocoa, coffee, dark fruit, and malts. The finish remained boozy and hints of vanilla. After adding another two years of separated from when I received this beer I hoped that the variables in aging wouldn’t hurt it. I’m safe to say this beer was drinking very well. I will make it a point to try any and all samples of this if presented with the chance.
