Dark but mild, this ale has the emphasis on malt flavors with hops in the background. Caramel accents the palate and finish is ever so slightly smokey.

Sampled at the brewpub on 2/27/2012. This Scottish ale pours a medium to dark amber color from the tap. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is aroma is caramel, peaty and sweet. A medium bodied Scottish Ale. The malts are caramel and sweet, touch of peat, touch of smokiness. The hops are herbal and earthy. Fairly smooth tasting, touch of residual sweetness at the finish. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.
