This is a lighter bodied Belgian style beer brewed with all Belgian pale malt, some Caravienne and some spicy rye malt. Belgian barley has a more bready character than other barley varieties, while the spiciness from the rye complements the fruity flavors from the Belgian yeast and the smooth, light caramel flavors from the malt.

    Aroma: 9 | Appearance: 9 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8

Taps clear copper with a thick and rather fine-bubbled pale buff head that leaves generous lacing. Aroma presents tempting rye, fruity, malty, and subtle caramel and hoppy notes. Flavor delivers what the aroma promises, if not quite so intensely; this drinks very well. Body is typical, but fizz is strong. Rye-t on!
