Poured up on tap at K & B Wine Cellars where it exhibits a deep dark brown body that supports a light tan head of foam. The modest aroma offers up dark roasted malts, a bit of caramel malt infused black patent, a bit of chocolate malts and a dark roasted coffee sensation. The taste is similar and it comes across as a solid personal attempt at an imperial stout homebrew for some reason but it does seem to come up short against the better offerings in this amazing competitive beer style. The taste is basically much like the nose with highly roasted malts, some dark roasted coffee, caramel and chocolate malts and then a dash of nuttiness.
