As the light shines in through the Abbey window, consider the monk. Tired from a day's work brewing the Abbey quad that is sold to the townsfolk to sustain the institute and its inhabitants, he settles down to a simple meal and a delicious table beer, as reward for another day's labour. The Trappist single was a style created to be served with meals for the consumption of the monks themselves and was traditionally never sold outside the Abbey walls. Effervescent, bright, and fruity, this 5.4% Belgian ale is the perfect pairing for a cheese board or a simple meal of bread and cold cuts.
