The beer pours a murky light gold color with a fluffy white head. Lacing is minimal. Aroma is weak grains, light citrus and tropical fruits, and weak hops. Almost has a watered down aromatic concept for the style. Weak mouthfeel. Flavor is light grains, some yeast shines through, as well as weak bitter hops.

Tempting aroma is malty with a firm hoppy overtone and a fruity underpinning. It pours a pretty clear golden-orange with a fairly thick pale yellow-tan head. Flavor is quite hoppy, more like an IPA than a session beer, with malty and subtle fruity notes and just a tad bitter. Smooth texture has good body and good fizz, leaving behind a nice hoppy tingle. Gotta love the picture on the can.

Slightly hazy gold, almost no cap. Flavor lemonier than expected, a bitter grapefruit hops on a sweet backbone. Clean, floral, and good with food. Not spectacular, but not half bad, either.

This poured a dark golden color with a white head. Aroma contains some caramel, citrus, and herbal notes. Flavor is well balanced with some malty and bitter notes. Kind of like a cross between a pale ale and an esb. Overall good beer in this hot as hell taco mac.

A nice brew that I picked up in Beaverton not too long ago. Out of the can, a clear copper colour. Taste is mildly bitter, herbal and yeasty noets. Creamy mouthfeel, not a lot of carbonation. Great sessionable beer.

4.4% on the can...is this a pale ale or a bitter? maybe inbetween. either way, i thought it was good. nice balanced but slightly hop forward aroma, fruity and earthy, nice finish. good food beer. i had been a little turned off by 21A but this was very good for the style.

12oz can -
A drinkable bitter but lacked any real character that takes it to the next level. The beer pours out a light copper body, clear with a 2" initial pour but quickly diminsihed into a scant, scummy head. Aroma has a perfume-like nose, light pitted fruit and pine. Light, sugary sweetness, light piney hops. It really seemed like a watered down pale-ale. -

Sampled on 4/8/2011. The American Pale Ale/Bitter pours a medium orange gold color from a 12oz can. Medium sized white foamy head with decent retention and nice lacing. The aroma is citrusy and floral with a touch of bread and malt. A medium bodied ale. The malts are fruity, bready and sweet. The hops are citrusy and perhaps a touch piney. Nice carbonation. Good balance. There are a lot of hops in this beer, from the first hint in the aroma when you open the can to a nice clean bitter aftertaste. The hops let you know they are there, but never really overwhelm you at any point. I gotta say this is a great session bitter. Lots of flavor with not all that much alcohol. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is bitter.

I'm the first person to review this in almost 4 years..............forced me to check the date on the can to check that it's still fresh............it is. The pour is a clear copper colour with almost no head....disappointing. The aroma is grainy malt along with floral hops and some other perfumey tones. The flavour is rather weak for a bitter with a watered down feel.
